let one isp turn up and offer what the others in europe offer $25-30 for a 4mbps connection (4mb down/512kb up).. charge 25% extra even... with a commitment for keeping that price stable for 2 years and they'll eat up the subscribers of all the other (limited) isp's in india... 😛

Pupudada..........I differ from u ............masses are not interested to pay high rentals. Only select ppl like u or quite a few on this forum would do so but most ppl want a fast and stable connection thats all and it is for that they are ready to pay 500 a month.USD 40 = 2200 bucks and add 25% as u said would be 2800. Not everyone can afford 35-40 K per annum this way for the net. The amount is a tidy sum.

your point accepted, but going on an average, just think what the rates should be for a 512kbps using the 4mbps as a guideline... rs.350-rs.700 for a 512kbps to 1mbps connection can easily be given by persons who want a high speed connection... right?

Yes 700 bucks for 512 is Ok for the nea r future as pricing but I guess there would be a badwidth limit.Soon things will keep opening up and getting repriced as time goes by.

they are just waiting and watching... one thing is for sure.. ppl have tasted blood and now they will not let go so readily... just keep your fingers crossed... 😀

I hope BSNL would reform the BB tariff before the customers (who have tasted blood) pounce on them like valiant tigers to make them work !!
