I've installed BBNL & am satisfied with speed. Noticed few issues. Internet is down when Power fails, maybe its the cable operators issue and secondly while using ddclient to update the DNS it takes the Gateway IP. I checked the IP using www.checkup.org and noticed the gw address instead of my router address. Anyone resolved this issue.

Thanks
Anand

Did you check if your router has been set up as repeater or access point or wireless router? First two could create this issue. I am no expert. Just a guess.

Thanks for the reply, I'm using a linux server & have installed noip client to update the ipaddress. I do have BSNL & Airtel links, no issue when using them. But i have the problem with BBNL.
I have a temporary hack by writing a script to update the IP Address & have scheduled the script to run every 10 mins. But my site will be offline within this 10 mins gap if the Internet is down or the IP Changes.

Your need to pay Rs.1500 for public static ip. You are currently on a private ip from BBNL, hence the gateway ip reflects for you.

I just shifted from MTS to BBNL, so far nice. Any one tried with router to establish wifi zone.
Yes, I have been using it with Wireless router from day one. It works fine. In case if MAC binding is done, you will have to clone the MAC iD of your computer to your router or ask your cable operator to clear MAC binding. Else, there is not much work to get it working.
