blr bsnl users- sites not working?

none of the ebay sites working for me as well. i am automatically thrown to the baazee.com shit. jerks.
 
Sadly Kolkata Dataone has collapsed today eveing and atleast I am not connected to my broadband. I hope it comes alive tomm morning.
 
nope it think its intentional. they know ebay.com has better offerings compared to ebay.in and they are forcing us to go to the indian version 🙁i want paypal support and a lot more products. indian version sucks.
 

I had shared a similar situation with u. My unreachable address was http://www.gawab.com ,a free POP3+webmail service. I am still unable to access it though, I would suggest u all to set ur MRU to 1458.
In Kolkata, DataOne service was stopped last evening. I was panicked and thought my modem was fried due to heat, but its logs showed connection was being refused by the DSLAM. "Cannot get channel identifier...PPPoE socket open." Apparently, I think they were changing some cards in the DSLAMs. Fortunately, its working really well this morning !!
 
ok, after some 3 weeks of struggle, my bsnl connection is fast, and all the sites are working. For the past 4 days, about 60 % of all the sites I was trying to open were failing. BSNL seriously needs to get competent people to maintain their dns servers. Anybody else faced this problem during the past 3 weeks?
 
Could open all sites frm Calcutta. No problem in file uploading either. Only that gawab.com is inaccessible.
 
I get it - it seems a site based in the middle east because when I tried to go to the site, my browser took me to yahoo search engine and did a search on gawab.com and did not take me to the site of gawab.

U can try Anonymous proxy servers to access www.gawab.com . Just click the link below and then click the "start surfing" button.

The only problem is that u can view the site but cannot log in 2 ur acct. U need 2 use their pay service 2 do that. Or try other anon-proxys which allow that.

Those who r not being able 2 access other sites thru BSNL broadband, u can use this anonymous proxy to surf the site. Only u can't log in to any acct or fill up forms using this particular proxy.
