Actually all you need to do when you need to do things.. Is have her do the verification and say - I want some details and I am giving my son permission to speak on my behalf.. And then take over the call. I do the same with dad. Even he goes crazy if he has to speak more than 2-3 minutes
hehe. my mom sleeps early. anyways. i went to the bank. and there i found out that an application would not work. they have a form that i would need to fill. plus they also need a signed id verification proof. so basically got incorrect information from icici bank on twitter. or maybe my local branch people make their own rules.
in any case, i prefer to deal with people in the local branch than online. my local market has 13 bank branches so it is not a headache to go there personally.
I basically fought with them to disable these alerts when they started charging for them. I was told that essential alerts would still be sent. Apparently debit and credit updates are not essential updates. Now I cannot find out how to reenable these alerts. Getting on the phone is the only work around? Is there an option on their online banking portal?
why did you want to disable in the first place? Did they also stop emailing transactions too on your email address?
And they charge for this things? Never knew. If at all they do, very small fee i think. Essential so dont care
15 bucks per quarter (or month) I think. And I believe it should still be free.
And I am not sure if ICICI Bank send email alerts at all. I have never received any on my email id. I plan to dump them soon enough and migrate completely to Yes Bank.
