Dish tv removes 3 hd channels and does not reduce the tariff

Is this legal?. On april 1 they removed history HD , CNBC HD and Colours HD. They make it ala carte and are charging exorbitant amount and have replaced these 3 channels with upscaled channels.
Can they do this?
 
Removed completely or removed from some pack?
Anyways they always say that they reserve rights for channel addition/removal. Unethical but not illegal.
 
It has been removed completely from all HD packs. The charges for ala carte by indiacast UTV is half of what dish is charging.
Rs 80 for CNBC HD when it is rs 40. Rs 65 for colors HD when it is Rs 50. History HD is being charged Rs 70 when it i rs 35

by the way videocon DTH is charging Rs 23 for these these channels per channel.
But this is not the real problem. How can they charge these channels which were being aired in the HD packages for years and not reduce the tariff. I have Hd premiere pack and colours HD ,cnbc HD have been removed. Dish should have reduced the price by Rs 90. I am paying RS 500 for the pack and to view the channels that were already in my pack, i have to spend rs 145 and not only that they claim that these 3 channels have been replaced by HD channels aka dish box office,et now and discovery science which are upscaled.
Is it a good case to complain to TRAI?
 
Link you mentioned has rates for Cable and not DTH. But there is also line mentioned in PDF


^ The High Definition channels namely Colors, History and CNBC TV18 Prime HD, are not part of any Bouquets and are available on a-la-carte basis only.
So if channel provider is forcing to provide channel as a-la-carte, then DTH operator has to follow it.
 
Ok then what about tariff. Can they charge Rs 500 even after removing these 3 HD channels an replacing with upscaled channels?
 
Although DishTV had been running a ticker stating that these channels will be under a la carte wef 1/4/14, but they stopped their access on 31/3 itself. Moreover, their website clearly indicated these three very channels not part of a la carte. They modified their channel details on website on 1/4 only.
I had a long talk with them and their point was that you are subscribed to HD Royale Pack, your pack is there but we can change the number of channels. It is ridiculous since I have paid for 5 years in advance. Now in case they keep on bringing all channels under a la carte, what will be the fate of subscribers like me.
I also am in a fix whether to complaint it to concerned authorities.
Any suggestions please?

Tell me what will do do with the number, will you be able to reduce the tariff?
NO
Will you be able to give channels which are deserved like star sports 1,4
NO
Either reduce tariffs or give us star sports 1,4
 
i dont think its legal to remove channels from your package when you paid for it to be removed later. can we complain to trai. i am giving up on dish tv now..waiting for the subscription to get over.
 
why not you guys go ahead and make a online complaint,
DIsh TV HD pack is not cheap, and moving Existing channels to A-la-carte is breach in trust of loyal customers.
I will not be surprised if sometime they start giving only mtunes HD and other regional channels on HD and move everything else to A-LE-LE-CARTE
so please put some online petition and we all subscriber will follow it.
they change their promise very easily and seems subscribers don't make enough noise to raise this to authorities.

now these thief company has done another great addition.
They promise 14 days trial for mobile TV

Seriously some LAWYER for the sake of all subscribers A $$, please SUE THIS FRAUD COMPANY.
