I don't think Google does that. But they stopped Cyanogen from shipping Google Apps (like Drive, Maps, etc.) a few years back.

From my understanding CyanogenMod does not come with Google Apps because they are not open source in nature? Users have to install it manually?

That was from their community based OS Cyanogenmod. And Google enforces this on every other custom ROMs out there.

Anyone OnePlus One users here running latest Oxygen OS and on a 4G network? A colleague is facing a peculiar problem when he's on 4G network. Whenever he turns the screen on and unlock the device the screen doesn't respond to touches. Also, when there's an incoming call, it takes a while for the screen to light up and show the incoming call screen. This happens only when he's on a 4G network (Vodafone 4G).

Running the latest version of Oxygen. No such issue here. Tried Airtel 4G and Reliance JIO.
