Tata Docomo reactivated my Indicom number with a retention plan

My biggest issue is that the connection is not in my name so would be strange to file a complaint under my name?
 
Use the guy's name while writing the complaint. When Docomo contacts you regarding the same, tell them you are Amit. Shouldn't escalate beyond that. At max, you might require an id proof if they ask you to visit the store, unlikely though.
 
Do not have access to any ID proof as the friend moved to USA few years ago and we have not communicated in all this time. I am being a nice guy paying all the pending dues and getting the connection disconnected. Fuckers still would not do it.
 
Right. Lodge a complaint on the portal using the guy's name. It should sort the issue out.

If it doesn't, you'll prolly have to explore other avenues.
 
So I got a cheque of Rs. 450 today in the name of my friend from Tata Docomo. Can I now assume that this number is finally disconnected?
