Hi,
Does anyone know how to check aircel postpaid data balance from Chennai. Customer care has given me numbers *122*011# and *133# to dial. Both end in some form of failure whenever I try. In 10 days, I seem to have gone through my data quota of 512MB. I am using 3G a bit more now, but, I find it hard to believe I am using so much...mostly for navigation and some amount of dev work. I'd like to monitor my usage on a daily basis and verify I am not being taken for a ride by aircel on my usage.
Calling customer care is a major pain. I had to call 121 3 times today to get the information. On the first call, I was told I had used 507MB of 512MB and had a balance of 247MB. When I tried to explain the information given didn't add up, the lady kept saying that is what their systems said, and then, she finally hung up on me as I was trying to explain the math to her 🙂 On the next call, they said they would call back as they were having trouble accessing the information. To their credit, they did in 15 mins and gave me my usage. This time they just said 500 MB used and let me do the math myself on what should then be available 🙂
I just want an easy way to monitor my usage as recorded by aircel. Their selfcare portal is something I have given up trying to login to and the *# codes customer care gives me don't work...anybody know any other codes I can try? Thanks and end rant 🙂

Try *122*122#

Thanks. That didn't work for me, but, it replied with a message asking me to try *121# which seems to work

Monitor locally using the built in data monitor or something like 3G watchdog? Tally the usage with aircel every couple of days. Should give you an idea.

Yea...planning to do that as well. Looking to tally what is reported locally against what aircel records remotely 🙂

Hi,
Please help us with your Aircel Mobile number so that we can forward your details to the concerned department and get your issue resolved.
At Aircel India customer satisfaction has always been our priority and we assure that your concern will be taken care of at the earliest.
You can also get in touch with us at https://twitter.com/Aircel or mail us at aircelsocialmedia@aircel.co.in
Thanks!
Team Aircel India.

For what it's worth, it would be good if the service provided when a customer calls in the first place is exceptional. One shouldn't have to rely on posting on a forum to get a response. I really have no idea if you are really Aircel Support (anyone could set up an account with that id) and that the forum mods verify it. For my current issue, I already have gotten a solution with the help of other forum members.

aircel rounds off the data to 10kb when billing if u use 1kb ur billed for 10kb
i u use 75kb ur billed for 80kb
yes the billing happens only after u disconnect the connecting.. or until u lose the gprs signal
unlike docomo (dirty people) if u connect once they steal 2-5mb and keep it aside until the connection is disconnected once the connection is disconnected they deduct and add back to your quota
