Is there any software to track the usage stats?

okay guys, i'm new here,
have to be happy to see a forum like this, even though is too late.,
I am using bsnl bb 600fn combo with 2.5G limit at day time and unlimited at night (2-8 am) upto 2mbps.
i found an app for windows to track the usage

but i need to know if there exist a standalone app for tracking the download details?
i got this from rackeys.com

I used to use Codebox Software - BitMeter OS
See no point now because BSNL counter is nowhere close to actual usage counter.

Do these software's track total data through modem/router on only used by PC?

To track usage on all devices connected to a router, you would have to install something on the router.

And what can be that? A Data meter? LolI really want something like that as I have forgotten the selfcare pw that was give years ago when we first took bsnl bb connection. And there seems no option to reset pw as I even forgot the security question.

I use http://www.floriangilles.com/software/netspeedmonitor.
It's sits on the taskbar. I can see the incoming and outgoing traffic all the time. Airtel always records more than what this monitor shows but it's close enough.
