@cyberwiz - were you able to use the UK filters in india ? i'm guessing you were on bt broadband and the sockets are not compatible with india.I have got internal wiring at home and hence have the option of plugging my wireless D-Link router into any of the available 4 telephone slots in the house. Now that one telephone is taken up by the router, my telephones plugged into the other sockets have the same disturbance mentioned above. Also, as soon as someone picks up the phone to make or answer a call, my connection gets disconnect for a few seconds and then reconnects if i refresh the connection.Any suggestions ?

U need to spend an extra 150 bucks for a splitter before each telephone instrument to eliminate interference. If u are in delhi, splitters are available at Nehru Place.

Thanks. I've got BT broadband splitters which can't be used here.I'm in Borivali-Bombay..Anyone knows where I can get them splitters ?

I was just wondering didn't it come packed with the router? Check the box of the router. If it says it has a splitter among the contents, inform the MTNL CC guys. Maybe they'll give you one for free 😕 .

ya isn't it included in the installation cost ??

dont think it came with the router. i'll check again.as far as installation is concerned, the guy didnt even come home. i did the installation myself and ha gave me a few values over the phone. anyway, i'll talk to them and see if they can provide me with one..

if u din get a splitter....then ask for one its ur right to hv all the components u paid for.......moreover wtf is this...why din anyone (no matter how incompetent he may be) come to ur place to install the damn thing...u shud complain mate 🙂

You can easily get them at Lamington Road. I got mine for 100rs. Put it in the parallel line (which used to disconnect and have disturbance when picked up). Now no problem at all. I bot my own adsl modem D'link GLB 502T and it comes with a built in splitter for the phone line. Quite convenient.

Speak with Salim from "Cassette World" located opposite to Lamington Road Police Station. A genuine shop to buy all ur tech products.Hello: 23872034
