Tata Indicom
Hi,I am trying to configure my Tata Indicom DSL connection on a D-Link 2570U wireless router and each time the internet LED is "red".I have followed all the instructions from the Internet setup wizard, Tata technical support and D-Link technical support and the internet LED on the router is still red.I have reset the Tata indicom DSL password and it works just fine with the modem(ZyXEL P-660R-T1) given by Tata but does not work with D-Link.I have done the factory reset a few times on the D-Link router and tried to configure the internet again and the LED is still red.As per the D-Link manual and Technical support when the internet LED is red it means it is not able to authenticate the user name and password. Further the D-Link tech also created a Bridged connection and the Tata user name and password that I setup did not work. I have not tried to setup a Bridge connection the Tata modem yet.Now I not sure, if it is an issue with Tata or D-Link. My Tata Indicom username is prefixed with a @ttml, can this cause a problem with the D-Link router. Any help will be appreciated.Thanks.

Any success with configuration? I am still struggling to get it correct.. TATA & D-Link support teams are redirecting me to each other for resolution.

Exactly the same issue as @ARIJENGER. Unable to connect via D-Link 2750u. Please help. Thanks.

I'm looking for same. Trying to configure from last week and still not succeeded.
Have you guys figure it out how to connect via D-Link 2750u?
Called support team and they updated MAC address into there system from my old modem's to D-Link 2750u 's , however it's not working.
Please help, thanks

After discussion with D-Link representative, I came to know that D-Link's 2750u new model (H/W- U1) is not supporting mac clone feature. But old model (H/W- C1) provides mac clone feature.
that means D-Link's 2750u (H/W- U1) wont work for ISP who uses MAC lock.
So, DLink offered me to H/W C1 modem in replacement of my modem and I took it as my ISP denied to release mac lock.

Can you guys try PPPoA... VPI/VCI value is 0 and 32. it worked for me

PB: I have tata docomo broadband (earlier it was tata indicom). All they did was reset the old setting and added a PPoA and it works perfectly now. I don't know if it is related, i reset my internet password once before giving the password to tata guys.

Yesterday i bought the lower version D-Link router 2740u adsl2 150 and tried to connect with my tata docomo broadband. but the same problem as mentioned above was faced by me. I called tata docomo guys to come and configure it. They simply denied that they will not configure any router other then what provided by them. Now a days tata docomo service is becoming worst and worst. Hope if i get any solution i will let you guys know about it.

Thanks nikhilpnp! This worked like a charm!

Please note to suffix the username with @ttml. I used the option PPPoE and the modem/router came to life! thanks! 🙂

Guys I faced the same issue i.e. getting stucked on red light. And I found out the problem was the Registration of my Wifi router D-Link 2750U Mac id wasn't successfully registered and so you have to register it through your nearest customer care office. Hopefully this will help you to configuring your new wifi router successfully.
