I have decided to terminate my Tikona BB connection after just one month of usage. Airtel has confirmed that they can provide me a new BB connection. Adios Tikona.

First of all, I don't have any other options for broadband as AirTel has ruled out the feasibility for a connection due to lack of ports in my apartment and ACT BB, who is my current ISP does not have feasibility to transfer my connection to my new apartment. I am planning to avail Tikona's 4 Mbps, Rs.1,499 plan which has a FUP (ppl say Fair usage but I call it f**k*** usage policy). I wanted to know the feedback of Tikona BB before I jump into the well.
One word : Disgusting
The mention of this name bring bile to my mouth. Makes we want to retch my intestine out.
This incompetent cesspool of humanity's worst is incapable of the lowest degree of cognitive function.
Nutless monkeys could do a more efficient job of flinging faeces then this pitiful excuse of an ISP does in it's so called internet service.
Do not opt for this. It is better to live without internet than be beholden to these astronomical oafs.

Mi God
Tikona should frame these golden words and put them in their customer areas to view !
Those are the best lines of appreciation for an ISP.

P.S. Heavy sarcasm intended 😛

It is worst. Dont go for tikona

Guys any update on Tikona in Bangalore? Planning to opt for 750 Rs. 4 Mbps 30 GB plan.

It's been 4 days since I have started using Tikona broadband. It has been a good experience so far. I have seen bad to worst reviews about Tikona BB on the Net, although I seldom believe something without proofs. One point which I would like to highlight about Tikona BB is the pro rata allotment of bandwidth per month based on fixed billing cycle. Let me explain it with an example.
I am on ADUML4096 plan which gives me a FUP limit of 80 GB, after which the contention ratio is 1:20. I took the connection on 8 Feb, 2014. My billing cycle is from 26 Jan - 26 Feb, every month. This means that even if I have taken a plan on 8-Feb, my pro rata data allocation started from 26 Jan, so (80 GB x 12 days) / 31 days = 31 GB is what would be provided to me from 13 Feb - 26 Feb based on FUP.
Other than this downside, which the sales personnel failed to explain during availing the connection. Tikona BB is fine. This is my account number,1109753970 for folks who wish to validate the integrity of this post.

It was not fixed within 24hrs. It was fixed on 1st Jan after several complaints. I was told that i will be compensated for their lack of competency. I got the call next day stating that I would not be compensated because I did not contact their tech support to complaint this, after that i have done many correspondence with zero results. Guys donot go for this company seeing the false good feedbacks. I have the records of the conversation including the numbers I called. The trikona is unable to answer my simple question, if I had not called then how my service request for that particular days = 1-3009371368 and after that:1-3011137984,1-3011655619,1-3011313370,1-3011313439,1-3011853671,1-3014801366,1-3014795331 was raised.http://-- link removed --.info/tiko...-and-no-speed-downgrade/104638/#comment-25321

Hi guys,

I can help you by sharing my personal experience. Though I am looking for a better alternatives (wireless preferred), but I can tell you that you can try Tikona. Its a reliable connection. Though there are some downtime because of one specific issue which is unavailability of the access point from the main tour but the customercare guys are really active. Although they will tell u to wait for 8 hours but normally its done by within 2 hours unless the problem occurs in the night. I can tell you its the only problem which I face otherwise I am satisfied with their connection. I recommend you to take 700/450 plan where you will get 25GB/10GB data limit with 2MBPS/1MBPS speed and after FUP its 512 KBPS unlimited. I am using the 450 (513 including tax) plan and in an average my total data transfer is 100GB+/month. My main problem is that post-FUP 512 KBPS is not sufficient to stream high definition videos online. That's why I want to shift but still now no alternative is there (or may be I could not find out). One alternative you can check is BSNL EVDO but its subject to the network signal inside your home. Hope it helps. Thanks.

The worst BroadBand i ever seen. these bastards are cheating people.i stay near kadugudi rly station. in my case i paid 2247.00 rupees for 4mbps(30GB download limit). when the technical guy gave the connection the speed was around 1 mbps. he told me after 4 hours u will get 4 mbps speed. after that no improvement in speed. i called the technical guy and the dalal who was the marketing guy for this area they put my number in the reject list. from that they are not coming to this area. hiding like thief. I called to customer care 6 times , every time they told that with in 2 hours u will get 4 mbps speed , and after 2 hours they used to send a msg saying that ur problem is solved. but nothing improvement happens. Another major problem in tikona is "they will cut ur Download eligibility according to their wish". one day suddenly they cut 15 gb with out reason. technical support never support customer. they will try to satisfy u with false promise.Really The worst company, Bad service,Bad customer service, I am searching the marketing guy.........

See the problem with tikona is, the backhaul network. If your area has multiple backhaul AP's, connected to other atleast 3-4 peer AP's then you will have aa stable and fast connection. If not, then even god cannot predict when tikona would provide what speeds.

Hi guys,
I am new to the forum and I joined just to put "proof" against Tikona.
I live in Bangalore and was using Tikona.
"The guy" gave a good speed demo with no packet drop and acceptable ping.
In my first month itself had a lots of issues with speed and connectivity.
Customer care will take your complains but no one will resolve it.
I had only other option of BSNL (which has a huge packet drop issue).

Later in (aprox in)22 Dec 2015 without informing me Tikona removed their tower.
I didn't know the root cause so kept calling customer care. After approx 10days
they told me that my area had become unfeasible and did I wanted to continue Tikona's service?
Yes that's what they asked me if I want to pay up for a non-existent connection.
I took the obvious. Now notice the cleverness of Tikona, NOW they asked me to pay for Jan's rental.

1. They moved tower in 3rd week of prev month(22 Dec 2015) so they should compensate me for a week's internet.
2. stalled me for 1 week with misinformation.
3. Then ask me to pay in advance for a post paid service where it is known to be calculated on pro-rota based.

After disconnection Tikona Never returned my Rs 500 in deposit.

After all that episode, Now after 3months in April 2016 end I get a bill with data plan "Rental_stopped"

I have put my email conversations (complain for speed) on mouthshut, they are a interesting read.

I have also put links Jan and April 2016 bills (hosted on google drive)

April 2016 bill link

Jan 2016 bill link

Exact details with email conversions are there in my
Mouth Shut review
Thought I'd share #TikonaWiBro rating #MouthShut

I ask you people, Do you want this to happen to you?

And this is not a one off incident. I had no option but to stay with Tikona.
Now I am using BSNL.

Also notice that April bill has "Termination Penalty Charges"

P.S:-
I am aware that Tikona doesn't have technical issues everywhere in country.
But was I not interacting with the same customer care as all other users?
Why were my complains neglected and why Tikona has sent a "termination penalty charges" after three months (without returning my deposit)?

I am not a regular user of this forum but will check from time to time.
I am not affiliated to any ISP in India, I am a common salaried developer in Bangalore.
I have put my emotions and facts available to me, and have no intentions of slander.

And If you have similar grievances please put proofs on various social forums so that others are spared the nuisance.
