I'm looking for a new ISP for someone (a businessman). Do you guys know of any high-end plans that would let me send the connection into a switch and let all the computers on the LAN use it?For reference, he's in Mumbai, Bandra area. I'm currently looking at Airtel, MTNL, Hathaway, and BSNL (though it doesn't seem as if BSNL provides in Mumbai, correct me if I'm wrong...)

I don't think any ISP would give out the home plan for business purpose unless you manage to convince a dealer or something. Otherwise, why not go for the upto "2 mbps" plan of BSNL for 500/- with a 2.5 GB limit

Well, it is for his _house_, not for his place of business. It's under his name, etc. But you know how businessmen are...if something comes up, they could be stranded in a life raft in the middle of the Indian Ocean for 3 weeks, and they'll still be doing their work... So if his internet goes down, and he needs to send out some report he'll be _pissed_. (He had Sify, and that's exactly what happened, and that's exactly why he's shopping around for a new provider.) But it's still technically a home connection, not a connection to his office.

Since the Airtel guys aren't too confident that service will be available in my area, do you guys have a second choice?
