DTH in Andaman & Nicobar Islands and Tata Sky

🙄 HiI am staying in Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Port Blair. I am small cable link operator in these islands. More people are required for DTH service for this Islands but there service not available for here. I contact to Tata Sky helpline no. but not connect & email there is no options please help what I can do. Any DTH service not available in this Islands. Thanks 😀
 
I think DD free dish service is available however it is a torture rather than service 😛
 
i can wait... airtel iptv review i found on the net was pretty decent. they should be out in a couple of months hopefully with most of the channels. trai is too slow. they should get out the regulations on iptv soon enough with fixed pricing on the channels.
 
yeah, and cheaper than CAS and dish/tata...right now even they're charging Rs. 5/- for each pay channel, i think...

dth is beamed using the nss 6..which doesnt have a spotbeam on the andamam islands..unfortunately 🙁
 
I looks like NSS 6 (Dish TV) does covers Andaman & Nicobar islands, as per the map in LyngSat. Also, INSAT 4A (TSky) should be available in this area as it is an Indian Territory.

current DTH signals doesnot cover Andaman islands. even though its Indian territory. so no way to get DTH services there.Dish tv signals cover some parts of Srilanka but not Andaman. the reason is DTH signals do not point to rough seas. since the Islands are covered by Rough seas the signals donot cover that islands.DTH signals cover only Land masses.
 
Why don't you buy a dreambox, install few dishes, have a running internet connection and get dearths of channels, this way u can watch all the channels you want, just search the forum with the word dreambox and you will land up on the right thread :thumb:
