Everyone here is complaining that the mentioned plans are bad ! But how are u comparing it basically?
You have to compare it with present tariffs of 3G/4G and not some hypothetical one in your brain.
wrt to 3g plan(price per GB terms) they are good enough for decent customer mobilization at first.
The 4MBps(or 32Mbps or 4mbps(god knows!!)) plan with 10GB FUP looks good for most households with regular internet usage.

That may never be possible in wireless tech, does one think after paying thousands of crores in spectrum & infra one can break even with say a ARPU of 100 per month(10rsx10GB). I think they are already giving device subsidy which is factored in the prices considering the news is correct of a 2000rs wifi enabled 4G tdlte dongle which should cost anywhere like 4k-5k .

You forgot the launch of Reliance Mobile and how they sold mobile phones for Rs. 500 and gave ultra cheap services? Mobile phones and mobile services were considered a luxury before Reliance came and ruined the party for everyone else. Also. Rs. 10 per GB in volumes would have been profitable for them in the longer run if they could have managed the network efficiently. At these rumored plans, they are going to become yet another operator in the market.

Yup. They have been promising a broadband revolution in India with Jio. You cannot revolutionize broadband in India by charging a wireless premium on your services by offering lame plans.

Well. That is the cool thing about journalism today. You can write anything and stick a rumored/alleged sticker to it.

Lol their Thunder plans seem way better.
256Kb/s? Seriously?
And I hope the OP meant 8Mb/s and not 8MB/s.

8 MBps = 64 Mbps

Its unfortunate to have destructive critics like you. FYI... The source is -- Free Press Journal

What is their source? I mean Reliance gave out information to one single news outlet I have never heard of?
A Reliance Industries spokesperson declined to comment on the company’s telecom plans and a detailed email questionnaire was not answered to.

It was based on the pre-launch Brochures in Mumbai

Well my opinion is that until the company officially reveal pricing, any pricing is rumored or alleged. And please go through the basic rules of the forum... I can see a couple of points which you should read.
