How does cash back work on virtual credit card?

Hi,
I wish to take advantage of the 10% cash back offer that's being offered on Amazon for SBI credit cards. The thing is I don't have an SBI CC, so I want to generate a virtual CC from my SBI account.
Now a virtual CC expires after 48 hours, but the cash back will be credited to my card only after about 2 months. I want to know how this will work out. Will the cash back go to my SBI savings account from where I created the VCC or will it never happen since the card expired?
Anybody know anything about cash back after card expiry?
Thanks

It will go back to the original account from where the cc was linked.

It's possible in HDFC/AXIS atleast. Not sure about SBI.
An option is available at SBI to create virtual card thru netbanking. But it acts only as a Debit Virtual card right?

Thanks for the replies. I just checked the terms on Amazon, and it says the card must be active to avail cash back. Now, obviously one cannot pay through a deactivated card, so I'm not sure whether that means that card should be active until the cash back is rewarded??
I guess I will just drop the idea.

It mentions Credit Card, so it must be it.

The virtual card that you generate using SBI will not work as a credit card, it will be a debit card.if you look properly, the online interface DOES NOT say credit anywhere. It says e-Cards in the tab and then Generate Virtual Card. Credit is not mentioned anywhere.
