To avoid disconnection I purchased new Photon 3G Prepaid SIM. It connects in 1st attempt.

I am getting more than 5 hours constant connection. Will put a screenshot of my connection session.

Using this SIM in Samsung Galaxy Core, Huawei wingle E8231 / E8131.

Note: This is a 3G connection and not a CDMA / EVDO connection.
Voice calling facility is not available after Rs.299/- FRC.

Below is my plan details:

-----------------------------------------------------------
I did Rs.299/- FRC and got 3GB data for 1 Month.

Available recharges for my Photon 3G number:

And how many attempts do you need to get connected to internet using Photon 3G with USB Modem?
I used 10-15 days back, and it still took 7-8 attempts to connect at that time.

It connects in 1st attempt.

If I use my normal prepaid sim it takes at least 20 attempts + 40 Mins. disconnection.

I can give you the distributor address If you want. Located at J. M. Road. Pune.

Got Huawei wingle E8231 stick in Just Rs.2600 with free SIM and 3GB data. It's similar to Huawei wingle E8131

i agree with aamar, there is no disconnection now. i am using iPhone 5S and just did MNP from Airtel to Docomo after hearing this feedback from my friend. my pnone picks up 3G symbol instantly after switcing on the handset and stays indefinitly with diconnection.

@chetan31:40 Mins disconnection issue is still there for normal 3G Prepaid customers(Except Postpaid 3G, Photon 3G-3G+, Photon Plus, Photon Max, Photon Max WiFi.)

but this issue is not there with me, i am on docomo Voice GSM postpaid.

Here is my session details:

still it's connected since yesterday evening.
more than 12hrs.

@amar
what kind of speeds do you average?
does this work equally well in mumbai?

And what could be the technical reason behind this disconnection? No free slots, network congestion or stupid admin tinkering with aaa server? Facing same on bsnl postpaid connection. Have to turn off and on mobile data 10-15 times to connect.

Somebody posted on this forum that according to Tata, they disconnect internet after 40 minutes to avoid customer getting overcharged if internet connection remains active for longer duration (stupid logic I feel).

this is simple case of bandwidth crunch. TATA com is prioritizing data traffic for enterprise and photon and leaving aside its Voice customer cribing with no connectivity. since TATA has decided not invest further, they will have to prioritize the available bandwidth.

This is utter stupidity from carriers. Be it tata or bsnl. What's the use of push notification then? Inside source of bsnl told me today that bsnl's 3G is running at 80% of capacity despite they have upgraded the gears 6 months ago. Off to Vodafone now. Better to pay little bit more and gets constant connectivity.

so, it is dangerous to be with operator which is not doing good in the market across india like TATA DOCOMO, Aircel, BSNL, MTNL. it is understood these operators are under tremendous debt of 10000 to 20000 crore already, who wil give them funds to invest further in adding more network capacity.
increasing network capacity involves buying more internet bandwidht from ISPs, buying more spectrum to cater more customer in a given area, deploying more towers.
strangly all players mentioned above doesnt even have proper urban 3G coverage, i get TATA D signals only on ring roads and open areas, inside house and business places its highly week.
well, all these business houses cannot even run their business outside india because QOS and monitoring is very strong. they are bound to provide good services and coverage with said geo conditions. matter of fact is AT&T is abused to the core even inspite of having covering 90% of US population.
My iPhone 5 was dancing with joy in Auckland when i visited for holidays, just keep your wifi on and 3G enables. Vodafone network will seamlessly connect 3G and wifi hotspot to give suberb internet experiance. i got mind blowing WIFI speed of 60mbps near one of the burger joints.

sad i dont even have vodafone 3G in bangalore. Airtel karnataka has started capping 3G speeds to 2mbps. so i am off it. Airtel is capping 3G speeds where ever they have 4G licnense.
