My topup is valid till mid-january. If I am going away for two months or so and not using the dish for that period, is it possible to discontiue the connection for this period?? That mean, if I am away for two months and not using the connection, can I set the connection to pause and restart after a couple of months so that the validity gets extended accordingly?

Q. Is there any temporary suspension Period? A. Any Videocon d2h Customer can temporarily suspend his account once in a calendar year and from 7 to 90 days. That means if you are going on long holiday than you can suspend your account from 7 to 90 days by calling Videocon d2h Call Center. Once you come back from long holiday then you can again restart your connection by calling Videocon d2h Call Center. During Temporary Suspension period, the daily subscription will not be charged to the Customer and the balance from his account won't be deducted.

I need to get this done. Dad's D2H dish got damaged today and I do not think there is any point getting a new one installed till the construction work is over.

I usually recharge for around 6 months. Not sure how much recharge is left. Do not want to dump Videocon. Would apply for cable tomorrow. Let's see how bad it still is!

That FAQ webpage doesn't exist now. What should I do if I want to stop the services for some duration? What will happen if the balance runs out and I don't recharge?

Nothing! You can top up and continue when you want it back on!
At least that's what I did few months ago!

Just for information. Tata Sky has this facility - subscription holiday from 5 days to 90 days that can be availed once a year. Recently I used this for a 45 day break.

My STB is not working and I dont want any technician home at this point of time. So opted for 15 days - 25 rupees service charge.. This is Videocon D2h

Yeah... Most probably would switch out of D2h - But have some balance, so would probably get it fixed post this lockdown & then use it up & then finally go for it.

So they closed complaint without any connection, so had to call in again - Customer Service Rep has no clue why ticket closed without action. Took a new request.

Its been 17 days since suspension - Still its in the same status - I was expecting automatic enabling - But I guess thats not the case - The situation is the same, so I would probably wait till things hopefully become a bit more normal and then enable the connection and ask for a technician visit. D2h being D2h I expect them to deduct 100 from my balance and then send technician who will probably ask 250 for fixing it. But anyway, let me wait & get it done - As I have around 800 bucks which I need to utilize. But pretty determined this time to shut it out
