Google just fucked up Auto Ads. They are now enabling Auto Ads through their regular ad code. Here on the forum, I only place Auto Ads for guest visitors. Now if I keep it enabled, they will appear on every page which has AdSense code. This means shitty user experience for logged in members.
Even worse is the thing that their ad preview tool is not even show the ad slots where they are placing ads, so I am not even able to disable the worst placed ad slots.
Maybe they would fix this in future. But overall, this is a shit update. Disabled auto ads for now. This would only affect guest users who are not using an ad blocker already. Actually, it would improve their forum browsing experience lol.
Auto Ads was a pretty shitty product for forums in any case. Works better on blogs.
