I finally convinced my mum to ditch MTNL's ADSL connection and switch to FiveNet. I later realised that my D-Link ADSL2+ router wont work with FiveNet. Now after a lot of researching, I found the following 2 routers the best for my use... TP-LINK TL-WR841N 300Mbps Wireless N Router - TP-LINK: Flipkart.comNetgear JWNR2010 N300 Wireless Router - Netgear: Flipkart.com As you may know, I'm not a genius in this field and have no clue what important specs one should look out for when buying a router. Well, I want your help to decide which of the above 2 router I should purchase.

If these are the only 2 options, I would choose the Netgear.

There is nothing wrong with TP-Link. It is just considered a budget segment hardware maker. I personally would buy TP-LINK over Netgear. But Netgear is consider a more mainstream maker of networking hardware compared to TP-LINK.It is like HTC and ZTE.

AB96,
Which router you finally bought? How's the performance?
I wish to buy one among these
I bought TP-Link TL-WR841N from a local store for ₹1400. Decent router, it is. It is also DD-WRT compatible, which is a huge plus point. Provides better coverage area compared to my previous D-Link router, though it still doesn't fully cover my 1000 sq.ft apartment.
A friend of mine owns the Netgear JWNR2010 and he told me that the coverage area of it is very bad, which is the sole reason why I chose TP-LINK.
