Does Dish Tv Work With Pc Tv Tuner Cards As Well?

Hi All,I am planning to go in for Dish TV when they announce the price reduction soon... but i had one concern in one of my rooms i use PC TV TUNER card to watch TV on my pc... with DISH DTH work with that as well?Please share your thoughts...Thanks in advanceUdit
 
umm u do know that one dish tv installation would run only one television set? if you connect more, you get to see the same channel on all of these television sets?knowing that u should be able to run dish tv on ur pc using a tv tuner card. but the software won't be able to change the channel.
 
what abt the multiroom service? does that mean u will be watching same channel on all tv sets at one time? please let me know... is this the case with other DTH service and CAS as well?
 
yeap. every TV would require its own set top box and a subscription. welcome to the sucker world. you would need to pay for the set top box for each television set/computer. and you would need to pay for its subscription.
 
yes with an individual set top box for each TV and 1single dish will i be able to watch different channels on different TVs?That is my question?🙂
 
yes... Tata Sky has provision for multiple connection from 1 dish.. u need to buy a digicomp(similar to a set top) for every conn.. and monthly rate was rs100 per digicomp(tat was b4 the price hike.. not sure now)
 

what abt dish tv.... does the same work with dish tv as well? different channels viewing with different tvs with multi subscriptionsss/...
 
dish tv has announced multi-room facility for rs 100.. but not sure wen it wuld be implemented..check out the dish tv threads for the announcement article..
 
This is Dish TV forum... can someone please confirm these 2 things to me:1. Has Dish TV already reduced installation cost to 50% for CAS notified areas in New Delhi?2. Multiroom service means - you can watch different channels on dif. TVs definitely having individual STBsThanks,Udit
 
its full confusion everywhere in Mumbai.no one knows if on 1st Jan the tv are gonna go blank in non notified areas....
 
my cable tv is working without any problem in non notified area ! no cas no dth.

You can watch Dish tv over PC. 2 Ways to do so. 1. Analog Method.You connect your STB to your TV tuner (which ever you have) using component in (yellow cable for video and red&white cable to the sound card). But you need to change channels from the STB no use of the Tv tuner to change channels 2. Digital MethodBuy a new DVB-s Card. Connect The Same dish with dual lnb or buy another dish & lnb (align to nss6) and connect it to dvb-s card. Use Progdvb/Mytheatre. to watch tv. (Needs CAM emulator/ CAM for watch pay tv).
