I got this new 3G data card from MTNL. When I plug it on to my laptop (Windows 7) it installs HSPA Data card modem, but if I go to My Computer and click on the removable disk icon it doesnt work. I'm unable to install the dialer software because of this. Tried it onto another computer with Windows 7 and it gives the same issue.
Any ideas whats wrong is it a driver issue or the dongle is damaged?
Also is there a site from where we can download MTNL's dialer?

I think the Modem might be damaged..please post some screenshots if possible!!
Ask the babus to do the installation!!

Thanks for replying.Getting work done from MTNL guys is next to impossible.Well I somehow got the modem to work now, I plugged it in to a Linux machine and was able to access the drive. Copied the MTNL dialer and installed it in Windows and tried dialing, it worked. Now the problem is that I get only 2G speed, I'm sure they have a decent 3G coverage across Mumbai.Any ideas whether its a setting thing or its their network which sucks.

Were you getting 3G coverage on Linux ??
Post some screenshots of linux as well..There is a option to operate Dongles only in 3G mode in Linux(Ubuntu)!! And im guessing you have tried on a Ubuntu machine!!
