i guess mtnl/bsnl are really trying hard to improve the face of broadband in india .... even though their plan sux * no unlimited besides night time* but yet atleast they are giving speeds if nothing else why is airtel lagging behind 🙁 ! i cant wait to get 2mbps unlimited for the same price as what i am paying right now for 256 unlimited it will be so cool lol !

lol dont say yeah yeah 😛

u are destroying my dream 😛

some one call that "airtel buddie " user to see this thread

probably he/she will be able to give us some ideas
and forward our request to higher level or something

guys do something get airtel to change to 2mbps ! 😛

wait for a couple of years. that can be months. but i have doubts that we would see unlimited 1/2 mbps connections anytime soon. bsnl is brave to offer 6 hours of 2 mbps unlimited for like 500 bucks.

lol airtel then should provide us with 24 hours unlimited of 2mbps 😛
they should be even more brave than mtnl/bsnl 😛

well they dont have the government to save them if they ever go bankrupt. and they dont have to fulfill the promises made by a NETA.

But I guess TRAI has changed Broadband Rules and Regulations to improve broadband services in India. I guess they are now forcing Private ISP's to provide Bandwidth Upto 2Mbps Speeds for the same pricing. Its now Airtel's chance to make a move, whether its check for BSNL or check n mate for Airtel... Lets wait n watch this million dollar Chess... 😉

heh. i doubt the limit is now increased to 2mbps. it still is 256 kbps from what i know. 2 mbps would mean that all the private operators would be providing high speed internet access not broadband.. 😛

Atleast we can hope for 512kbps unlimited this year? Also... can someone ask or pm Airtel Buddie and ask him when Airtel are going to update thier plans?

hey the onus is on us.....if we keep mailing the airtel wallahs about our plight we will be able to pull it off soon.....already i guess airtel may be getting quite a few cancellation requests from users wanting to switch to dataone  .....so this is the right time to show our might as airtel will be terrified of losing its already small customer base to Data One......and this is a fact to survive in this industry airtel must give us something more for the same amount of bucks......else DataOne will butcher AirTel for sure

lol broadband basic defination is 256kbps speed..........but we live in reality that company offers somehoursof that speed and call theirplan as broadband..lolBtw in short bsnl/mtnl was bolbachan stuff as of such...unless an unlimit 2mbps plan is out.......dun expect stuffs frm other companys..else we would had seen 512kbps plan already out...unlimit one within 1200

yeah, Imagine the best possible speed I got using my Airtel 512kbps line was 62KB/s. The speed check in Airtel's site tells me that my speed is 493kbps... I guess Airtel should improvise on their services... And by no chance I'll be shifting to BSNL coz.. they may offer high speed internet but that speed is not guaranteed. Airtel though offers 256kbps atleast we can expect the speeds not to drop less than 180Kbps.. So lets wait n watch!!

youtele *iqara* a private isp company has started 2mbps connection too for just 250 rs but they dont have any unlimited plans not even night unlimited so we can hope even airtel starts soon ?youtele.com for more information i just hope this is the beginning and airtel soon follows

Maybe we should all send Airtel a email stating that we don't get 256kbs!@
