as first movers in dth arena ,dish tv now has a very special schemes as
1) multi room pricing as low as 100 rs
2) 32 movie on demand for free of cost
4)240 RS FOR MAXI PACKAGE
5)NEW APPROACH AS TO START BROADNAD THROUGH DTH
3)as source from financial express(dated 21 dec 2006)zee on eve of CAS LOW DOWN COST TO EVEN 1500 FROM JAN 07

THIS HELP TO ZEE TO AQUIRE MORE CUSTOMERS AND VERY TOUGH FOR Tata Sky TO GET SUBSCRIBER BASE AS THEY WISH TO GET,ALSO FOR CAS PEOPLE

AND NEW ENTRANC LIKE RELIANCE BLUE MAGIC AND SUN DTH.IPTV



SO HEAT IS TURNING IN ZEE FAVOURS
 
Does the multiroom service mean u will be watching the same channel on all TV sets at one time? Please elaborate...Thx in advanceUdit

That's the only thing I care for. I have DishTV, hope they start this thing soon.
 
broadcast is one way. satellite broadband is not a feasible option, and as of now, real time apps (gaming, skype, vidconf) won't work due to latency (time delay to-from satellite)
 

Even if they do intorduce Broadband through DTH, you will have to change your current STB's as they can only be used to view channels
 
early movers are going to suffer in the end. that's why stb on rent is the safer way to go.
 
they are not. i said that's the way to go. someone soon would have to go ahead and do that. like the modems/routers we get from bb companies.
