Firstly I apologize to moderators and other people for posting this. This maybe of concern to Chennai people, but others please help me if they know some tricks of trade.

I am having BSNL landline cum broadband. I had shifted to KK Nagar 3 weeks back, and even I applied for telephone shifting on 7-Dec-2006.I got the Advice No also on the same day, and I was told that shifting will be done within 3 to 4 days. But till now there has been no action from BSNL employees.

I event went in personal to request to provide connection, but to my surprise the senior BSNL officers(AE, JTO) at KK Nagar(WEST) Office at Bobbilli Raja Salai in Chennai, told me that there are no wires in KK Nagar exchange from past 15days. More surprising was they don't even know when will the telephone wire come.

I feel really bad and surprised to hear such kind of answers, from BSNL(India's largest Telecom Company) and which headed none other than our Cheif Minister Kalaignar Karunadhi's own family member. The worst part is there is no telephone wires for the same area KK Nagar, whose initials itself have Kalaignar in it.

With Christmas and New Year holidays, I don't think my connection will be shifted soon. Probably again BSNL will again repeat the history of shifting connection taking more than a month.

Please help me to get the phone conection. If you know of any person, whom I can approach then mail me mkirty@hotmail.com .

Thnak you,
kirty

Hi Krishnan,Thanks for the numbers. I called almost all of them. Only two were picked up and they told me the same old exchage numbers for KK Ngara, which I already have. As you must be aware the BSNL customer care numbers are useless, seldom they get picked so see if you could help me if you know someone in Kk Ngr who can help me out.Thx,Kirty

When i applied for BB. Mtnl were also not having wires so i bought it myself for lineman. How much it cost? From nearest box on neighbours house to my room the required length was 20 meter X 3Rs/meter= 60Rs.Though i save lot more with the time(busy life) and the phone calls to stupid people. And the quality of wire is also good comparably. Becoz of which my line attenuation rates are much better from my friend next street with mtnl wires. Also what i remember wires from mtnl again became available after 1 month as tenders are floated to procure these things with long sarkaari process. So i would advice to get it done yourself if the distance from box is not large!

Hi All,Firstly I would like to thanks GSV13 for his meticulous explanation of work and krishnan for replying to my thread and helping me out. I had to run quite a few number of times before getting the connection. Fianlly it is all set and done. I would surely thanks the Chennai BSNL employees for resolving quite a lot of connection issue before the holiday week begins.Thx,Kirty
