1. The Host (Connaught Place) Awesome Indian food, try the Tandorri Aloo.2. The Standard (Connaught Place) Upstairs, in thios huge place, nice view, with a beer, amazing menu selection.3. Gaylords. (Near the Regal picture house) these people don't mess around, better than the Gaylords in London, mouth wateringly good.4. Revolving Restuarant. Top views, top prices, top food.5. Sindi Place near the Metropole Pahaganj, but on the other side, the hottest and best Punjabi food in town, very reasonably priced.

kakke da hotel - connaught place.bestest-est-est butter chicken available on planet earth. small crampy place, always too many people but the food and service are worth it. families complete with dada, dadi, chintu, bunty and small kids sleeping on shoulders et all throng this place till 2 AM. not for crowd seekers or "hep or happening" place but good food, this place is around 70 years oldrajinder da dhabha - raj nagar, safdarjang enlcave marketwords most delicious chicken curry- hot and spicy. god only knows what all spices the guy puts in there. {oh man my mouth is watering just thinking about the stuff....} u have to eat it to believe it, no words can describe what he makes, frequented by executives in spanking lancers as well as truckers rolling in from the highway, alike.the guy earned so much from the dhabha that he owns many many buildings around safardajang enclave and has hundreds of tenants, but he still has a small shop.

anything for vegies? 🙁

yups rajinders dal makhani and kake's veg biryani are really good, but its not as special as the non-veg fare. the chicken experience is totally out of this world.for good veg food goto "hotel sarvana bhawan" located at Connaught Place janpath. its an andhraite chain with branches all over the globe. sarvana bhawan had higher earnings than mc.donnalds in New york city for the year 2002-2003. serves only veg and the south indian delicacies are really good. sambhar to die for.chaats, if u have a liking for chaat and all things spicy, the chaatwala next UPSC building near India Gate, is the place to go. the guy has been squatting at the roadside for over 57 years now selling chat and in the evening there is a huge line of families waiting to buy tokens from the cashier. the place goes on till 1 AM and families while returning from their late night sojourns from the lawns of India Gate stop here.there is "paranthewala" in the "paranthewali galli" at chandini chownk. imagine having a street named after you! the original "paranthewala" had shut shop long ago, but now there are many shops there claiming to be decendants of the original. i tried 3 places in paranthewali galli, all were good.for breakfast we have "malliks" locates in the regal building adjacent to allahbad bank facing jeevan bharti gl@$$ building in CP. the best chhole bhature and paneer pakore of delhi. my father used to go there while returning from college. malliks has been around for more than 40 years, now his grandsons manage the place. nothing beats his pao bhaji.these are some of the places that are not known to our generation but have been there since past many years. our generation likes food mostly of the upmarket kind with all the ambience, but these places are a treasure. i think mc.donnlads and cafe cofee day, barista n all really s*ck.

whoops that was me above lecturing u all people on food. i forgot to logon.Anat

Hi Anat,

Can you also give reviews for Fio restaurant and Veda?
I need to treat a lot of people to dinner. So can you recommend any more plush restaurants in South Delhi or Noida?

Thanks!
Priyanka

Plush restauants that dont burn a hole in your wallet. My budget is around Rs 2000 for 4 people
