Every year we run a special campaign to nominate the asshole of the year award to a worthy contender. For the year 2005, we had R.L Dubey, Director Operations, BSNL for claiming that you needed a P4 computer to run broadband! He remains unparalleled. 😀

For this year, there are 4 worthy contenders. Of course, I believe that this idea needs a wider dissemination and hence I invite your comments on the same issue.

A write up appears on my blog, a sister concern of this fountainhead of Broadband revolution in India! This is argubaly one of the representative forums for discussing Broadband and I hope you appreciate the efforts by posting across your own valuable insights.

If p4 is must for a 256 kb broadband then later they will say we can provide 100 mbps connection provided you have 4x4 quadcore with atleast 12 GB ram
 
^^ I would've nominated him,since he at least said something good,i decided otherwise.

Now whoever is delaying 3G should be in my list...
 

NOW SURELY MARAN... What he was fooling us by saying this is the age of "unlimited bandwidth". We're freakin' capped!! 🙁

I read somewhere its coz of the indian military..... they use the frequency which is used by 3G

Is this true??
 
its taking them time to free the frequencies. bsnl is behind these delays i think
 
heh. he did deliver on something. no private player has challenged this move TILL NOW!
