Instead of getting any unbelievably high speeds, I face Sify server downtimes at nights at around 3'o'clock :-|I think they are either re-configuring their servers or their servers have gone awry by themselves.
 
Suraj ....just wondering Why r u using the official client?
 
yea theres a weird reason for that.....when i use easy sify i connect at abt 40K download is like 36 to 38Kbut when i use that Sify client i am downloadin at 100K , dunno why but thats the reason.This has been happenning for the past one month or so...thats one more reason why i didn't update my nightly 256u/l pack besides the normal sify confusion of limits on day unlimited pack and all unlimited packs....
 
see if you're on sify anything can happen...like something very new and strange happened to me as well...i renewed my pack from CC and my CTO disabled it, most probably coz "she" doesn't want to send someone to collect money from my place, rather she wants that i go and pay and then she'll renew it...is that ****** "sify officer" listening????? :angry:

My CTO too doesn't bother to collect the money, doesn't bother to renew my account once I've gone mad calling him up to please come and collect it (renews it in anywhere from 3-8 days after it expires) so that I have to repeat the same ritual of calling him everyday to renew the account. Ufffff.

I have started to think he is running the Sify franchise at a loss and that's why he doesn't bother about anything.

Such are the middle-men Sify has placed before its customers to interact with.
 

That's what I have done this month. Previously once I had done that too but the outrageous CTO had blocked my net access making me call him *again* :mellow: This month nothing of that sort has happened, touchwood.

i stay nearby Vashi, New Bombay.....Sify has some data center warehouse( i hope thats what they call it) nearby.

not KiloBytes but kilo bits, 100Kbps thats like around 12.5KB/s.....for 400 Bux i can take that kinda speed any day. nothing compared to what we have at our office, its 6Mbps but with lots of restrictions. You guys may be knowin what all.... 😉
 
dude im getting 12KBps dl speed too but it aint musch use if all one can dl is crappy 150 mb per day. that means we need 5 days to dl 1 cd movie. hell 5KBps dl speed is faster than that. 😛issed off:

was gettin for 3days.
now gettin around 500kb.
 
yap it happened with me as well 4-5 months ago. i downloaded SIN CITY in 2 hrs and continued with the same speed for next movie as well till 50%. 😀
 
well i got 1.3 mbps once !!!!! nd 230kbps another time !!!!! But not nemore !!!!!! But dc++ helped me see the speeds again , and that too consitently
 
I am located in Chandigarh and was getting 344 Kilo Bytes per sec download speeds a week ago( I am on 256 KBPS unlmtd plan ) and continued for 2 days during which i downloaded 7 GB 🙂
After those incredible bursts i was not able to log in again and SIFY cust care told me that the cable was broken which was all bullshit as my CTO told me that my IP has been banned without even telling me.He gave me a new IP and i am back again after 3 days of NO login.

DO whatever u can sify bas***ds i will damn sure leech if it happens again and if my IP is bocked i will sue their asses.
