Yeah, I can understand the issue delivery agents face. It would be better if they either attempt the delivery on the said date or update the status and notify the customer towards the beginning of the day.

What Delhivery seems to be doing is, push the agents to attempt delivery at any time of the day without any prior notification to the customer. They don’t even share the contact details of the delivery agent. Today as well the delivery guy called me to ask if he should come. And I was in an online meeting, had to request to be excused for a minute or else the delivery would be delayed again.

Prior to this call, I had no update from Delhivery that they will make an attempt. 🥲

Same is the case with Amazon. The product goes OFD at 6am and will get delivered at 9pm. They rarely answer any calls. If they update that they could not attempt the delivery, they will get penalised.

This is FAR better than a notification at 4pm, calls from the agent at 4.02pm then a notification that you were not reachable so go fuck yourself now.
 
I feel your pain, but again I would say it's better to befriend the delivery guy. I reached out to delhivery ops director on LinkedIn and he did respond but nothing concrete happened.
 
Unfortunately there’s no dedicated delivery person for my area. They keep changing 🫠
 
It mentions an IVR number, but there's no customer support! (At least there wasn't when I dialed it last).

Also, the Express Delivery seems to be unavailable nowadays. Even for delivery within NCR.
