it seems to be an airtel or tata number hence its 9 digits . the full number is same except one extra digit for the wrong number so those guys who dial the courier company if they forget to input that one extra digit it connects to my house ..
I think the length of number with in a city remain same no matter who the operator is but the prefix is different.
I do not think it is the length should be a problem 🙂

Just ignore for few days, or turn off ringer. Inform your friends/relatives to call only on other numbers of your home. People will stop calling after few days.
You can also tell people that courier company they are calling is shutdown and they should go for another company 😀

I think some yellow pages site is having the number listed wrongly - something like Justdial or something, have it corrected there, or call justdial and ask them what number they have for the courier company in your area

ya you are right.. ill give you an example as to whats happening .. suppose my landline number is 022 26002244 the courier companies number is 022 60022441 .. so those guys who dial the additional 2 in the beginning it connects to me whereas they should be dialing 1 in the end ..

So you saying instead of 022, people are dialing 0222 60022441? I think it is unlikely that so many people make this mistake. IMHO, I still believe your number is listed on some site by mistake. or the 0222 is listed on some site by mistake.

I dont know what they dial but im presuming this has to be the mistake.. my number is not listed on any website nor is the courier companies as its some small company ..

May be you should contact the courier company tell them you gonna abuse their prospective customers, strike a deal of some sortand can make some money out of this 🙂
when life deals you lemons make lemonade 🙂
