Hey guys, needed some help regarding setting up my wifi.
I hav a D-Link wifi router DIR-524
Used to use it on my old Fivenet connection, however due to some issue had to change to hathway.
The engineer managed to setup the connection, however he was'nt even ready to help me out with setting up my wifi.
I've put the router(wifi) on DHCP mode and connected to the modem. (resetted the modem too)
Already called hathway customer care telling them to release my ip / unbind. However the internet still wont connect.
Any help would be appreciated.
*The internet does connect when plugged directly into the PC.

What are the settings you have set/changed on your DIR 524? Have you set it to Router mode?

Hello fellows,
I have also taken a new hathway connection. Can you please help me regarding which wifi router is compatible with the hathway and how to setup it??
@glenvarun, Did you figured it out?? The problem you were facing!!

I've used various routers from D-Link, Belkin etc. I've never tried TP-Link so I cant comment.
But I've had 4 positive experiences with Netgear so far. Why 4? because I moved to different apartments and I let my old roomates keep my router. Now I bought two more recently for my office and home.
None of my Netgear routers have ever choked on me, I have never had to restart the routers for any reason after initial setup.
Before netgear, D-link used to be my go-to brand, but even those had occassional problems which required a restart.

hathway uses static ip i think. put it on static and put your PC's MAC address to clone. ie PC's MAC address will be given to router.
