Hello friendsI am a new user ob BSNL broad band.I am suffering from a problem for 1.5 months.the problem is that my ADSL light stops blinking and i lose connection automatically within 15-20 min.But sometimes it works normally for hours. But in most cases my connection loses and thus i cant download any big files from link-removed.....etcWhat may be the causepls help me.i called the customer care and they suggested that it may due to the change in charactoristics of wire i am using for connection. But employees in my exchange telling that its not possible. And one thing added.I take my modem to the exchange and there was no porblem. Is distance is a problem??The distance btw my home and exchange is more than 6 km.but when i am connected and downloading it got full performance(downloading @ 26-32 KBps)I think u guys can help me.Thanks in advance. And i am from kerala

Why no one replying???

Yes, distance could be a problem. You mentioned that the exchange is 6 km. away. Is it road distance? Actually you have to take the cable length, which may be more than 6 km. depending upon the route. Can you post the attenuation and SNR figures shown in the router homepage?Where from are you in Kerala? I am from Kochi. Also, be patient. Some times replies may not come within an hour.
