dlink 2750U doesnt have port forwarding functionality?

ive been using D-Link 2750U modem for an year and now want to connect a wireless ip cam and need for port forwarding but couddnt find it in the router management page(dsl 2750U of other countries have this functionality but not india??)
 
Err, I think it is very much there bro except I think it's called port triggering or something. Go to your modem log in page 192.168.1.1 > After admin password, go to Advanced Setup > NAT > Port Triggering > Click Add > Then click the radio button next to Custom Application, name it whatever eg IP cam #1, etc.Then check if ur IP cam user manual has any specific port number or settings& if it shld have TCP/UDP protocol. Enter the same port number for all fields horizontally in the first line alone and select from drop down for TCP UDP in each field and then click Save/Apply button.Should be good enough?! Nope port trigger is different from port forwarding i guess as in the ipcam forums they mentioned specifically "not port trigger but port forward"....dsl 2750u of other country firmware has this functionality but sadly not Indian firmware.....i want to try and update to that formats but scared of bricking the device
 
Hmm is that so? But then when u look at the settings of both there's the same fields present and port triggering vs port forwarding I don't understand what the major difference is. Did u try the settings in port triggering though and see if it works so we'll know if there is an actual issue in performing the required action.I wish I had my BB net connection or I wd have been able to help more(on mobile GPRS). Well the firmware can be backed up & then other firmware can be tried but all modem manufacturers have the big scare sign of might brick and not responsible for damage for anything meddled, whereas some work as intended only after some damn firmware update is done! Guess our modems fall under that category then?🙁

Are there any other settings that you did to connect ipcam? I configured 'Virtual Server' on my machine, but it didn't hep..

First did u assign a port to your IP cam??after assigning the port then enter the port number in the virtual server
Note😛ort for ipcam should be allocated through ipcam interface
