Unable to setup new Netgear JNR1010 router with Dlink modem

Hi,
I just bought a Netgear JNR1010 wireless router. I have a D-Link modem to setup with.
After unsuccessful setting up on my own (following mentioned instructions; also followed MRC cycle; all lights are correctly lit as per instructions on both router and modem) researched for steps online, followed the same, but still unable to even access http://routerlogin.net (which is mentioned at the back of the router) or routerlogin.com or 192.168.1.1 or 10.0.0.1 (as mentioned on netgear kb docs)
On pinging any of the above mentioned (routerlogin.net, 192.168...etc), result is always Request timed out.
So, main issue here is that I'm not even able to access the router page.
Any help would be appreciated, thanks..
