hmm... i will definately mail to that mail address when i get home. i was on sify for various plans such as 64 kbps unlimited BROADBAND and 128 kbps nightly plans and they both sucked . i was planning as in one of my earlier posts as to have a publick service announcements in the times of india . having a quarter page ad about the small print of sify's bussiness policies will have definately an adverse effect . this just might gather some media attention who might try and piggyback and have some investigating done on the tv media . we need a spark to start the fire . bringing sify down is for a good cause . such isp need not exist . these isp only hold back development as they harbour plans that other isp may turn to as in the long run sify is making a lot of money .by hook or by crook and that too litterally . i already had one post deleted of mine in trying to express my true emotions regarding sify . i will not repeat myself . however sify is undoubtedly the suckiest isp ever .

Well yes Sify sucks and it frustrates really a lot. But it has really a huge network thanks to its wireless backbone. And so it's the only broadband capable ISP here in the suburbs of Delhi where I live where Airtel and Reliance broadband think it's not worthy enough to come and even MTNL DSL service is not there as of yet.So if Sify dies I will be left with no broadband :-|. I will only be left with MTNL dial-up of 35 kbps and Reliance CDMA(internet over mobile phone) at 10 kbps as opposed to Sify's atleast 100 kbps speed.Really Sify's huge network beats all other broadband ISPs that have very, very limited reach. And in this situation I wouldn't want Sify to "die" and it won't die because I am sure it has many customers when the other ISPs act all touch-me-not and confine themselves to "elite" neighbourhoods.

networks will grow and thats the truth. rest assured that if and when and it will, it dies you will have one or more other options . and it will take time for sify to die . its not a overnight thing as much as i would like it to be

No need for Sify to die. Just there's need for other broadband ISPs to really cover every inch of atleast the urban areas like Sify does, so that we have a choice. Sify's use of a wireless backbone is quite innovative in my opinion. But they manage it very badly.

they messed up big time. they should have gone wireless from day one. it is definitely not that expensive as they make it sound like. especially when they charged 3000 bucks for installation in early days.

they sure did. agreed that isp's with fob's are expensive but at leats they dont lie. sify takes total advantage of technical jargon and mislead their customers (read slaves, blind mice etc.). CC told me that there is no package without a dload limit except for the leased line packages. when i opetd for the 6month package i was halfway thru when the dload capppin started. they called me and informed me. i argued... they then confirmed tht they will not apply it untill my 6month period was done. but wallah 😱 1 whole month missing 😱 frm my package. on asking for their team leader there (a very conspicuous 'mr.charles') the answers were always negative and on 2 occasions the hook*rs on the line were actually rude to me told me to please shut up after i called them 'ma'am'... they found it offensive and threatened to disonnect me. i agreed and wanted a refun upon which they said that that cnnot be done as the cto has 'CONTROL' of the money. i ask you ppl!!! are we all fool's im mailin the cnbc ppl. hell i know a coupla ppl here at mid-day too and they love scoops... sm not a mass media student for nothing. anyone with a similar feelin... SPEAK UP!!! B)
