New Sify Broadband Speeds

Nice new fresh topic.. for the first time i am kinda pleased with sify but, it wont take too long, i intend to leave my comp on all night, 24/7 and soon they will see what they have done; too much bandwidth that goes away so eventually they will squeeze the pipeline,.. ill eat my shoe if they dont and i keep this 7~8.5kB/sSoBangalore: roughly between 6.5 and 8.5kB/s :mellow:
 
i knew i was too optimistic :mellow: Its back to good ol' 2~3kB/s
 
normal 4-5 KBps during surfing... will download something big and tell. btw my netword was down whole night last night due to local glitches. 🙁
 
Joiin the club.. at 1am i was going to bed last night, put some ques in GetRight to download but...... no connection.This morning i woke up, checked downloadspeed and, like i said already, its back to its old slow,pre-historic self...It was nice when i got home yesterday around 9, i even reached the 10kB on some moments...Sify is not and will never be a good ISP,im telling you!
 
hey people.. i missed that... i wasn't online because the local network was down or something.. hey somebody plz get a 48 kbps connection and review it then i'll decide which package i'm going to get 😛 by the way i am getting between 8-10 kbps downloading today ;-) just wondering.. should that increase to 14-15 kbps if i upgrade my package to 48 kbps?? i am currently using the 600 unltd. package

devide 48kbps with 8 ,
u should get less then 6kB/s with that package, u better odnt count on 14-15kB/s cuz thats is more like a 128kbps package

The reason why u get 10kB/s now is,... god knows, be happy and enjoy it as long as it takes, i am 100% sure this will be lower very very soon!
 

4pm and i am struggling to reach 32kbps (4KBps)... it is crawling in bytes at moments. minimum 32kbps... my @$$.

so the entire panchkula was actually down... :blink:
 
still getting 10 kb/s 🤔 hope it lasts want to download 3 cd's worth of linux.. it should take me about three days to download at this rate.. B)

but i have always got a speed of at least 5-6 kb/s with this package.. are you sure there is nothing wrong with your connectivity??

ch...ch....ch.....choo chaad for u guysanways, i am chpeeding down the info chooperhighway @ 120 kbps, the surfing speed does begin to crawl sometimes, but downloads@ 9.5-10 kbps and i intend to make the most of it while it lasts.... i hope that for me it lasts a little longer than u guys.sify, is choo chweet {jus' for now.......}
 
see he's getting 10 kbps too.. sure there's nothing wrong with ur line sush??

hmm... net is finally working fine. just my sites... which include this forum, sify blog and my personal sites and client sites are coming slow. and the server load shows that the sites are otherwise running fine. i am going to kill sify tommorow mornign...bhinder, u are on the same network. i had like you to check out the access time to the sites mentioned in my footer. 🙂 would appreciate the gesture.
