ah well. it is a pain in the ass for sure. but i suppose 10 user limit is still pretty good compared to zero. in the end, if your organization can afford to hire 10 people... it is no longer a small startup. 10 is a great number for me personally. a friend of mine would probably be affected by it. but existing accounts retain their number of free accounts and he too would be safe for a good time in the future in terms of expansion.
No actually.. this is start of tide turning!Google has been giving lots of things for free. People get addicted to those free stuffs. So now google is putting brakes..its still offering things for free but less in quantity.i am sure in future Google will start charging for many key things. there is time though... might even take decade till we realize that we are so dependent that we cant say no! 😀
awww. what free services are no longer free from google? google apps was never aimed for the general users. it was aimed at small businesses, startups, educational institutes and so on. they were liberal with the free accounts on the standard account. they are now a little less liberal. but from what i see, it does not really amount to reduction of free services to the common web user.
hehe. we have been speculating about the same for ever... aren't we? 😀the competition for google services is heating up. google can no longer afford to play complacent.
eventually they would come to their senses. for a university of their size, it is best to outsource email. are they able to handle server load during admissions and result announcements ?
They don't announce results like NOS and CBSE, enter the roll number and get the result. They just upload the lists to weird directories resulting low server load. hehe.
