SEA-ME-WE cable cut slows down India's connectivity with International gateways

i guess bsnl is still in a mess then 😀
 
Having issues with getting a 1.4 mb update for a program from link-removed.
Tried it on both Airtel ADSL and BSNL ADSL. Both don't work. Site takes ages to open up.
OTOH facebook etc are working though I need that update badly for work.
Tried across different PC's - the trouble seems to be with the cable cut.

When will this be fixed? .. I am quite bored now and cannot even make scheduled updates of my websites since yesterday :angry: :banghead: .... tried recharging my Aircel 3G sim in the morning to update one of my website and finished it within a few minutes after updating the website ... hope this does not carry through the week .. even facebook is not loading on BSNL leave apart any other sites on international servers including my own websites

I am surprised to hear the news and all your experiences on it.
I am using BSNL Broadband in Bangalore.
I admit my speed has been dropped to 512kbps.
But that is because of us crossing the bandwith cap for our plan.
Otherwise i didn't have issues in loading any website,
Facebook, google, youtube etc etc loads fine here.

Google, youtube has been working fine since yesterday. Try some other international sites like nytimes or try using skype, tango etc to make international calls. I am sure you will see the problem.

*bsnl fiber seems to be running great 😀

I thought I'd be returning home to pathetic internet, pleasantly surprised 😀
 
Don't see much difference here. Facebook still won't load And seacom news link you posted? taking forever to open up. BSNL seems to be worst effected by this.
