I was thinking of using this packs.... someone tell me what's unlimited about these?

One is the 128 kbps Unlimited product at just Rs.995/-* This product will allow usage upto 150 MB per day, and will be beneficial to home users who are looking for an unlimited product at higher speeds.[/b]
wow.
150 MB. need I say more? (for comparison, my airtel even today fetched approx 720 MB of downloads)
Ands they say nothing about what the upstream conditions are.

If the usage exceeds 150 MB in a day, then a validity reduction of one day will be made per 150 MB of extra usage in that day.[/b]
so if I run-up 75 MB extra used, what happens?
And I'm supposed to stretch out and beg for extending validity? 😛

the 256 kbps Night Unlimited product at just Rs.650/-[/b]
Nice... give ZERO further info.
Then when I take it @$$uming that there's no hidden conditions, jack me.

And these are schemes only available in certain cities, not everywhere.

Damn this.... VSNL was the one entity everyone roundly cursed. Sify was the first private ISP to give an alternate choice. Thanks, but no thanks I don't want them - sify seems to have undergone training under VSNL. 😛

I wonder how they can make such a huge price difference. The price of the same 128 package in Mumbai is 500 Rs.

Both night packs are really good and didnt seem to have dload limits . My freind has 256 kbps one and his speed is never less than 32KB/s for full 8 hours

There's always a hidden clause with Sify package, even i have the 256 Night package and the catch being Torrents and Major P2P's dont work.. So if you wana Browse and download from http based Links only then you'd Njoi 256k Night pack..

I think blocking of p2p apps/ports isn't even something Sify admits. Has anyone got Customer Care to admit it on phone/email/chat?

It seems ports and all are blocked by f**kin cto' and not sify from behind bcoz i never get any prob in torrents

hey...have they stopped the unlimited packages for 64 n 128 kbps...(not the night one)cuz my friend was renewing his account yest. n his cto said that there are no unlimited packages around anymore...they all are capped at 150mb per day or nite 8-8. is this true ?m using HUS1....m sure this is the unlimited for 128kbps without download cap and 24hrs.please clarify.

Sify never had an unlimited pack. Even before their Custoemr Care used to admit about the limits.

Yeah, that seesm to be the case but who has asked these CTOs to block things? Obviously Sify. And there's no uniformity in this too and no confirmation like all policies of this goddamn Sify "Broadband".

i managed to download an episode of Joey thru bittorrent but thats abt it.....it stopped workin thereafter.

I have just perchased the 128Kbps Unlimited pack for Rs500....It Gives 7-8Kbps during the day and 13-16Kbps at night .... so I think this pack is good.....But there is a 150MB limitation if that is exceeded my days will get reduced.....Hopefully till now no such thing has happened...

Why is the 128 kbps pack Rs. 995 in Delhi??? What does Sify get from differential pricing of such a degree? Idiotic morons.

Cant say exactly about other P2Ps you folks use,but they did block winmx when my downloads/usage got too much. Although most of the time winmx has worked fine for me.
