In what came as a shocker to me today morning, when I plugged my MTS MBlaze dongle into my laptop was this popup that informed MTS's decision not to renew license for Mumbai.
I was relieved that there was no mention of Mumbai in the 10 circles in which operations were supposed to be closed.
Funnily enough Airtel marketing folks seem to be cashing in on the opportunity 😉 by promoting their dongle in the same popup message 😀

so mts dongle is functioning in mumbai till.....'?

Same for rest of Maharashtra and Goa circle. MTS failed to get spectrum in Mumbai, M&G and UP east circles and will shut down its services with immediate effect.

Maybe they will windup by end of this month in Mumbai. Am not recharging my MTS anymore.Getting a Vodafone 3G that will work for both computer and tablet.

Lol. Mts does have a valid license in Mumbai. That message from a airtel took advantage of the fact that their license has been cancelled in some circles.

@vinay
cdma for cdma would be a good move.go for docomo or reliance instead of vodafone.cdma will always give you a better coverage anyday.

Thanks bro 🙂 Yes I agree with you and will get a CDMA one.

My MTS data card has stopped working since April 10th. Got a Reliance Netconnect+ for Rs.999 with 10GB free yesterday, an offer exclusively for MTS Customers. I had to give them my MTS card. Not activated yet.

Exchanged MTS for Airtel 3G/EDGE/WCDMA/GPRS USB Modem + 3G SIM for just Rs450 for 2GB with Cashback. Works great on both computer and tab.Read more at:broadbandforum.co/topic/63842-airtel-3g-data-card-exchange-offer-plus-cash-back/
