128 kbps Night Unltd

"*" indicates Subject to maximum usage of 6 hours per day. For usage beyond 6 hours, one day in validity will be reduced.
"+" indicates minimum promised speed

The current users of the existing Rs 600 unltd. package have been upgraded to a speed of 32-64 kbps. earlier this speed was only 16-48 kbps, but now it has been upgraded to a minimum promised 32 kbps.

Seems delicious to me... Right?

Just:

I just hope that the 6 hrs usage clause is not implemented on the 32+ and 48+ speed packages. At 6 hours a day, it no longer remains UNLIMITED.

So.. let me get this straightMy unlimited package , 3 months validity, 1600rs renewal price.. will it go up automatically?? it will expire next month and.. i would LOVE to feel the SPEEEEED right away.. the enormous speed.. i will take a helmet and eye-protection bcuz it will blow me away!.... sigh... to be serious: will it be upgraded automatically for me?Is that the reason why i couldnt log on this morning at around 11am? i had this authorisation error ( -error 28 ) i believe....?? (im at work now so i cannot check.. 3 mrs hours to go b4 i can check it)Anyway....Are they stupid or what.. WHY 128 at night unlimited? what purpose? normal people dont stay up late,.. so that is mainly for peoiple who download... right? and at their homepage, the price-page, they say: these unlimited packages are not for commercial use... and for simple text chatting and mailing... why the hell do they put a 128kbps at night? they all have a serious handicap in their heads, whoever make these packages up...What even make my pants go drop down is, the 6 hour rule.. it makes me laugh of sadness...I have seriously NEVER EVER seen such a big faggot company that provides internet in my whole internet-experience..... about 9 years now..These guys are... sooo full of sh*t, it makes me run to the bathroom and do the same thing what they do with their customerslol... i cannot believe it..sooo pathetic. this really made my day! what a greedy company this is.. oh my god!

This my friend is India 🙂

btw, yes the speeds should go up automatically. if ur account does not give atleast 4KBps... COMPLAINT! 🙂

lol. i know its india.. for 3.5 years i know it.. i was just lucky ith my old cable company that they were too stupid. i had 50kB/s minimum , 250 max. 😀 they didnt secured their network...Anyway, i am home now and.. i am amazed.. i almost reach 8kB/s my oh my what speed lol... i cant lie , i like it better then the 3 i got,.. but i cannot be positive as well: this wont be 8 for long..soon it will be a nice 4.5 or something...

You guys are lucky, my cablewallah charges Rs 150 for maintenance on top of 650 for the package! I called the cust care and it seems that the cable provider can charge upto 5-600 rupees for maintenance!

Try understanding running a business for a change. The night unlimited packages are offered by mosts ISPs because bandwidth utilization in the during the nights is low. Since there is ample bandwidth available in the nights, the ISPs encourage usage of the same. Works fine with me as I am not at home during the day. 🙂 (and BTW, it's applicable from 9 PM to 9 AM unlike Airtel broadband which is stingier in this regard)

Also, the lack of Internet peering between the ISPs in India and the high cost of purchase from the International carriers are still the primary reason why there is a paucity of bandwidth here in India. The same problem plagues every ISP in the country today...Not greed as you mentioned.

BTW, I am on the night package and it is awesome. Have a look at the screenshot of my downstream bandwidth...

I only have one issue with Sify. Their customer support is really sad....

I do not think there is any possible explaination for asking 2.5 INR for 1 megabyte on the only broadbnad connection they have on platter. And considering they screw customers on other packages (like me on 48kbps shared), I cannot express much joy watching that screenshot that you are getting.Ofcourse, I can get a nigth only package to support the day time shared package... But I myself get good enough speeds during night times (12-13KBps). Which tells me, their software is screwed...
