Question. Has anyone here been approached by a friend or relative with this new MLM scam scheme? I was just approached by a dear friend. Who seems to have fallen in love with this company. Her proof? An article on Forbes. And an advertisement that appears on a Formula-1 car. Other than that, I am just hearing... How can you think of it as a scam? And blah blah. I wished her best of luck with her endeavor. Makes me sad that even educated people from sane families fall for these traps. BTW. She has not told her parents about her investment in this company. Told her to tell them as well.

It's in people's DNA to fall for quick money.A few years back when speakasia had just begun to spread, a family friend of mine, an orthopedic surgeon who owned 2 hospitals of his own was telling how good it was and so and so.He had invested 5 lac and was going to invest 10 lac more. he was pushing me too to invest in it. I explained to him it is a pyramid scheme and was likely to burst very soon.He was like my friends are too earning from it, how can you say it's a bubble like that and after a few months it busted.So Greed does not sees any education.
 
Moneylife pretty much covers every Major MLM or pyramid scam in India which no other Mag even dares to touch it.
 

God! This thing is everywhere now. My friends who have joined this are kind of brain dead. Always busy in meetings. Even at 1 am.
 
I'm waiting to hear something similar like this for Amway. Really fed up with friends calling me for a 'seminar' 😛issed-off:
Lost many good friends as I avoid them now.
 
aww. i like amway products. my friend is no longer pushing me to spread his wings but he does push nutrilite products for my mom and dad. my mom finds the calcium tablet from amway better than the ones available in the market as well. my dad is not willing to take them though. says he does not want to become dependent on them. :
 
From what I understand Oriflame is the same? And their products are quite lovely too. Though of course... All of these products are sold at a premium because of the business model.
