Hey, I want to change the BB plan from BB HOME COMBO ULD 750 to BBG COMBO ULD 1700. I saw the revised bsnl BB plan in their website saying, BBG Combo ULD 1700---------4Mbps upto 100GB,256kbps beyond for TN circles.Does it available for all the users in chennai ( Tamilnadu circle ) ..? Anyone using this plan ? Can we pay it monthly ? I heard it from one Bsnl CC that we need to pay annual fees to get that feature and also it is available only for BBG Combo ULD 2150 plan(4Mbps upto 175GB,256kbps beyond). Is that true ?Waiting for your replies guys.-Roger.

Chennai circle is separate. TN Circle is everything else in TN except Chennai

As far as I know, you don't get this in Chennai. I had tried calling BSNL customer care last month and they said you would only get 1Mbps speed upto 100GB. They couldn't explain why the website said it was available in the rest of TN - when I asked them as to why good plans were offered in the rest of TN but not in the state capital. They first said the plan was not available anywhere in TN. When I asked if the website was wrong, they said no it was not. They checked with someone and said it may be available in some rural areas, but they doubted that too. I guess they don't have much information on that plan and couldn't reasonably explain why the state capital wasn't being offered what was offered in the rest of TN and was just making stuff up 🙂If you do manage to get the plan at 4Mbps/175GB, please let us know 🙂

This plan is not available for chennai users, said by BSNL CC. I got BBG Combo ULD 1350 -->Upto 4 Mbps till 20 GB, 512 Kbps beyond 20 GBI have a question. Download speed is increased but my upload speed is not increased, so any way to increase my upload speed...? Data rate for my MODEM ====================Line Rate - Upstream (Kbps): 662Line Rate - Downstream (Kbps): 7868Anywayto change my Upstream rate ?

ADSL is asymmetrical which means they deliver a high download speed to you while the upload speed is low. So, the 4Mbps refers only to the downstream link speed. Your line rates look in line with what is expected I think. If you wanted high upstream, then you would have to go for SDSL/VDSL/fibre etc.

Oh, I dont know about the ADSL issues. Thanks for the info . 🙂

My Modem specs,

This information reflects the current status of your DSL connection.

Line Rate - Upstream (Kbps): 674
Line Rate - Downstream (Kbps): 7868

My MODEM says only DSL . 😀

I have already emailed to BSNL through Selfcare about an request to change the upstream data rate level. I hope I will get positive response from BSNL CC. I will update it once I get the response. 🙂

Last month My Data rate is
Line Rate - Upstream (Kbps): 662
Line Rate - Downstream (Kbps): 7868

Now my Data rate is

Line Rate - Upstream (Kbps): 364 Line Rate - Downstream (Kbps): 3998

The upload speed is very slow. Anyway to increase my upload speed ?
