Cannot connect to a few sites..Airtel Broadband Bangalore

Just wanted to check if anyone else is facing the same issue in Bangalore..For the last few days, i haven't been able to access gmail.com. It times out after trying to connect to accounts.google.com...Also one other site OpenSSL: The Open Source toolkit for SSL/TLS. These 2 are the only sites I can offer as an example right now. When I use a public proxy it works. So, guessing very likely something to do with Airtel
 
had similar experience when i was on airtel. too many sites are randomly blocked. though rarely had issues on gmail. i am assuming here that you are not using airtel's own dns servers?
 
I am also in Bangalore.....I was having intermittent disconnects since past 24 hours and after complaining it seems to be rectified this evening
 
So it seems they rebooted my modem, and reset my profile (where did they reset my profile, I dont know ) with the proper MTU value. And now I am able to access both. This was Airtel's quickest resolution I have seen in my 5 or so years with them. I am a bit impressed !!!

Check your next bill...they may bill extra for Platinum Support Service...hahaha
