thanks will do that.one more thing,round about how much mb is downloaded by chatting on messengers like yahoo.also, du meter is showing wrong speeds. it shows im downloading @16KB while my download does not exceed 6KB.
 
in ma opinion u wud be better off purchasing ur own modem but be carefull not to buy from black markets coz if it fails u wud be in deep $h*T neways the reason why i recommend ur own modem is waiting list id u get a modem from mtnl 🙁 🙁 i m from mulund, mumbai n mtnl guy told me 2 wait for 5mnths if i wanted their modem as they hav an acute shortage!!!!
 
rightly said.anyone who has taken their own modem,did u have any problems by taking ur own modem please reply.also which is the best best modem if u go to purchase one.
 

i am just worried about one thing, will i cross the limit by using gtalk and surfing coz i do my studies on the net and surf for 1 to 2 hours daily.if someone could help me with that...also if i switch off my router, will that help me.
 
gtalk takes abt 1.5mb per 5mins so say 18mb per hr max.i dont know how much do u surf in an hr. so accordingly u can calculate.

thank you for the replies.i got a Netgear modem DG632 for 1665 incl all taxes with a 2 yr warrenty.will get the trib connection by today.
