Anyone here using YOU Broadband in Pune ?

I am now in need of a broadband provider at my home in Pune. I was checking if 3G would be VFM but supposedly it is not for me. Checked with airtel and my place is not "feasible" as per them. I don't have an option of BSNL so that is out too. The only option supposedly is available is YOU telecom.Is there anyone here using YOU Broadband in Pune or somewhere else ?I was planning to get their Either the YOU hurricane or the YOU Trident plan, lowest in them respectively.How consistent is the connection and speed ? Downtimes ?I read few threads here and people seem to be having issues with speed mainly/ I am ok if i don't get full 12 Mbps or 10 Mbps but consistent connection and low / no downtime is more important.Please suggest if it is worth going for YOU broadband ?

I'm using the Hurricane for the past one and a half year. In Patwardhan Baug, in Erandwane. I get near zero downtime. And if there is any the CC is quite friendly and helpful. The people get things sorted out quite promptly. The consistency of speed is quite good as well. 80%+ speeds all the time. Quite satisfied. Been their customer since the Iqara days, i.e. past seven + years.

I am not sure why there are lots of bad reviews on mouthshut.comI am just skeptical about that. Don't want to spend money and not have service majority time of the week.Everyone says they make big promises at the time of taking registration but don't listen to complaints.Also called up reliance to see if they have service in my building.Btw I can anytime disconnect the service if I am not satisfied right ?

Tell me One ISP that does Not have bad reviews 🙂. This is my personal experience with YouBroadband. Your Mileage May Vary 🙂. I couldn't ask for a better service. You should check out if anyone you know in your area has got YouBroadband as well, and check their experience out. That way, you'll be better informed. I was recently interested in the Reliance 4MBps unlimited plan since they don't have an FUP. I contacted them throughout their website. Received a call from them the very same day. But after that no further communication from their side. Of course I too didn't keep trying to contact them again.About disconnecting, you should ask their CC. Since I've never felt the need to do so, so cannot comment on that.

Seems that some new ISP is testing their links in some parts of Pune. I have received the information that this *Unbranded* company is planning to offer starting speed of 15Mbps for Residential and 50Mbps for Corporates.
Currently they are testing in some parts of NIBM & Market Yard which is again unconfirmed news.

Sorry i never updated here. I took YOU broadband after asking people in my area who are using it. Everyone had good reviews. Now i am with YOU broadband and using their 1 Mbps plan which costs me 2100 Rs for 3 months. I had initially used the 10Mbps plan but that became costly for me so went with the 1 Mbps one.

rak007 ... what is your experiance with You Broadband till now, mainly with 1MBPS plan? I've just applied for same in Wakad and want to know before I make payment for installation.

 First ask people in your Wakad area about the service. Don't take my word. In Aundh the service is good. I am pretty satisfied. I use the 1 Mbps plan and it works for me fine.

Could you please confirm what is the speed and performance of youbroadband in wakad area. I am also staying in wakad area before installing wanted to know if it is good or not?

Initially You was providing better services in the town , but from last 2 months there are too much outage with you services, mostly net is down and reason is prompted is outage in our area it may last from 2 days to 11 days and also You broadband persons are very bad in responding now and you may get stuck if you are frequent user of net ... this is now becoming worse and worse and now the position is that the net is connected merely 1 or 2 days in a week and rest is the outage... please review other options as well in your area prior to buying or recharging you.

I strongly recommend you not to go for youbroad band
I had 4 months subscription and in first 2 months it twice happened that the for a gap of 6 days i had no internet
The engineers dont respond
The customer care when called just say "sir we have noted your case and within 24hrs your issue will be resolve"
Nothing happens after that, you run pillar to post burning your blood
Bloody theives....go for other services/connections but not yourbroad band
