MTNL SIM or Datacard

Guys, I want high speed internet and I am paying 2799 for 8Mbps BSNL in Chennai. I get only about 4.5 or 4 usually. Past 2 days since it is active.I was suggested on this forum to get a MTNL SIM or Datacard from Mumbai and use in Chennai for unlimited download and on BSNL it will get 7.2Mbps.Can you advise me if I should get a MTNL postpaid SIM from Mumbai or a MTNL Datacard? The MTNL datacard in mumbai is listed at only 3.6 Mbps. So was thinking will get a MTNL SIM and use it for Data services in a USB Dongle and put it into my Router which supports USB and use it as my primary internet connection at home.Please suggest 1.) Should I get a Postpaid SIM or a Datacard from MTNL Mumbai2.) If it is a SIM, can I buy a good Huawei USB modem for this? Please suggest a model as well. I dont mind spending 2-3K for this.Thanks!
 
First of all, test using a BSNL SIM to see what speeds you get, there are lots of variables involved in wireless connections and you may not get the speeds you are hoping for.
 
Yes I agree. I dont have a USB dongle. Should I just test it in my iPad? I have a BSNL USIM (not sure what it is) in my iPad and use it for GPS when I travel.
