Good news for Regional and Tamil channel viewers - Thanti TV added in Tata Sky

Good news for South Regional Tamil viewers in Tata Sky as the DTH provider has launched Tamil News & Infotainment channel Thanti TV. With the launch of Tata Sky’s new satellite transponder they have already added many Tamil channels lately and they are going to add many more regional channels soon. Thanti TV has tailor made programs that are grounded in Reality of the Tamil populace with a neutral outlook. The channel is accessible via the red button on NDTV 24*7. NDTV Hindu has been taken over by the tamil daily Dina Thanthi and as such the channel has been replaced with Thanti TV. The channel will be available on any base pack which offers English News genre. Those who have subscribed to English News Pack too can enjoy this channel. It is also available as an ala carte at Rs. 8 pm.

TS has added several Tamil channels, the most recent one is Polymer TV, but NDTV Hindu was already there, it was accessible the same way Thanthi is accessible now, so its not a new addition.

What is the channel number for thanthi? My search has not been successful.

Its not available as a separate channel, on NDTV (English) you need to press the Red button on the remote, it takes you to a smaller screen with Thanthi TV on it. Don't know whether its available everywhere or only in Tamilnadu.

Its available all over India.
