3G
It was all big chocolaty talks with a tag HAPPY TO HELP, when I was trapped in their so called super lightning speed 3G services. I subscribed for postpaid 3G services for my iPhone4. I was so happy and had fat hopes of working with high speed network.
But unfortunately after adding 3G services to already existing vodafone voice SIM, I faced multiple problems.

1) When I switched on 3G services on my iPhone , my 2g connection and voice signal also fell down ( because it switches to Airtel services).
2) During 3G services I am not able to receive or make calls due to very low signal and calls often dropped or disconnected. ( I lost so many important business calls and other calls as and when I used 3G services)
3) speed of Vodafone 3G services was never above 100 to 200 kbps in most part of North Bangalore, even outdoors, not to talk about indoor.
4) During 2G to 3G switch over my phone signal goes to zero atleast for a minute during transition, because services switches from Vodafone 2G to Airtel 3G ( as vodafone do not have its own 3G spectrum, it is piggy backing on Airtel spectrum)

This is nightmare about using their 3G services since August 2012 from the day I subscribed to their so called high speed network which they advertise as the best services on this planet.

The second part of night mare and harassment started as I have started sending complaints.
1) I called 111 couple of times and I was given 7 days time to fix up the technical snag, three different complaints were registered after a gap when nothing was done.
2) Even without getting things fixed I started getting calls from their third party agencies who call on behalf of Vodafone, asking me to give feedback if I am happy with their resolution of complaint.
3) The feedback calls were even before I heard something from their CC or technical dept, something when issues were never taken care of or resolved.
4) I went to Vodafone stores couple of times to get things fixed , again same story to wait for 7 days. ( Visited Church St. Vodafone store)
5) Nothing was done inspite of 3 recorded complaints ( see screen shot in link below) , finally after two months I reported this to Nodal officer's email , I got cute canned reply that it will be resolved in 1 week.
6) This never happened, meanwhile I got a call from one Nishan from Nodal office asking me about the issues, I started story from beginning and explained, he said it will be fixed in another one week.
7) for another 10-15 days I did not hear from them anything. I called Nodal office, one lady by Anjali hung up phone on me . I kept on trying for Nishan , finally Anjali said he will call back, as they are always busy with 10000s of complaints, I never got any return call for another few days. Finally today I received call from Nishan.
8) Nodal officer Nishan on behalf of Thannasi said they can do nothing to fix this issue, as it is not feasible to do so , as Hebbal, Kempapura falls in Brown area and I have to still go with same services. At the end of almost three months I am hearing nothing can be done. Why? That could have been conveyed to me on my first complaint itself. But they hung on to this just to burn my pocket.

Now can someone tell me do I have to loose my voice calls to use Vodafone 3G, because the signal is too low once it is connected to Airtel services even outdoors, not to talk about indoors in most part surrounding up north R.T. NAGAR. ( see screen shots and decide for yourself)
So why do I pay for their 3G services?

I wonder if Vodafone has legal right to claim and advertise 3G services in Karnataka when it has so many issues in terms of speed, reliability, spectrum? It is misleading to advertise something which never exists.

See the pictures in link.

This picture shows how signal drops when switching over from Voda 2G to Airtel 3G ( screen shots taken outdoor while switching between 2G and 3G with a gap of 5 seconds)

http://img526.imageshack.us/img526/9475/vodafone3gw.jpg

Signal drops to almost zero level when it gets connected to Airtel ( at this time even voice calls cannot be made, but when switched back to 2G, I get full signal)

Multiple complaints made in 3 months, but no outcome:

Now you decide and tell me is there "ANYTHING CALLED VODAFONE 3G" and why they advertise world class services? I am quite confident that they can be legally sued for misleading customers and selling wrong products/services.

Has "HAPPY TO HELP" made any sense to customers like me when multiple complaints as in above link made no difference and NODAL office and CC took three months to tell me that it is not feasible for them to provide 3G services in Hebbal area.

Can any one tell me why I get so many FEEDBACK CALLS from their agents who call on BEHALF OF VODAFONE even without knowing about the status of complaint.

Beware of Vodafone 3G connection in Karnakta ( may be same quality in rest of India or Planet)
Here is confession by Nodal officer Nishan/Thannasi in Bangalore, as they are not able to provide 3G services: ( They must stop advertising 3G services here)

Email from Nodal office: ( it took three months to get to this solutions, which culminated in negative result)

Greeting from Vodafone!

At the end of day we found that there is nothing called VODAFONE 3G in India.

I'm also using Vodafone in Delhi and when I visited UP west circle few months back, I was using Airtel 3G because Vodafone didn't have 3G network in UP west.

You have 2 problems:

1. Vodafone doesn't have 3G in your circle.
2. Airtel's 3G network is crap.

Airtel's 3G network is crappy in Delhi also. 3G signals are not available in the area in which I live and in almost 50% of Delhi-NCR area, Airtel 3G network simply doesn't exist. In areas where Airtel 3G network is available, they have limited the download speed tp 200 kbps and upload to 70 kbps. So on my other phone (Samsung Galaxy S3 on Airtel prepaid), I have switched to using Edge as default. Sadly there is no other option because MTNL here is also bad and so is Reliance.

So, you have 2 solutions;

1. All circles have 2 private operators and BSNL (so total 3 operators) who have 3G spectrum. Use MNP and move to another service provider who has 3G spectrum in your area.
2. Start using 2G on your iPhone instead of 3G. Opt for a 2G plan and it will ensure that you are always on Vodafone network. on iphone go to Settings-->General-->Cellular-->Enable 3G and turn it off. This will ensure that you don't bounce between Vodafone 2G network and Airtel's 3G network.

I wouldn't expect any help whatsoever from Vodafone because they don't have 3G spectrum in your area and Airtel which is not interested in investing in their network.
