and what if we want to play online games/network games?all traffic is charged. we are not mad but u r SPAWN FREAK!downloading is different, fun is in playing.
 
well first of all a very happy new yr to all of u my friends!!!!!!!!!secondly the stupid asses @ mtnl, mulund (w), accidently deleted my acc last friday due to sum server backup going on (hmm mebbe the usage chkin site was down) neways i went to the head of triband dept in mtnl (mulund), a guy named vaidyanathan is the head....he created my acc n all that n i asked him when is triband Unlimited coming to mumbai??his reply was...the 949 scheme may come 2 mumbai after diwali!!!!so m eagerly waitin for diwali to get over this yr 😛

No. Earlier we used to get 1 msg saying that you have so and so no. of missed calls. To get details send GET to 303, right? Now I directly get - "You have missed calls from . Missed call alerts is free under a special offer." There is no rental for it. Its free!
 
^^^That could only be for Postpaid subscribers, not for prepaid... 🙁
 

when i enquired, it was free for both Postpaid and Prepaid users. They couldn't tell me how long it will remain free. They're like use it as long as its free! 🙂
 
I have just now tried, I still get same message to send GET to 303 to know abt missed calls.

I have HUTCH, Postpaid, in Delhi.

Thanks to max for the info, I can confirm missed call alerts is completely free in mumbai. I just reactivated it!You get the numbers without sending any message to 303! Finally something good and free from Hutch... 🙂
 
how did u get it reactivated?i dont even get miss call alerts anymore.. i did call divert whenout of reach to +919820011119then i switched off mobile.. called from landline where i heard"ur call is forwarded". but when i switched on mobile, i didntget any msg
 
I did what u did i.e forward to +919820011119 when out of reach...Maybe u did it too fast... 😛I swtiched off my phone and called from landline 3 times and when I switched on the phone it gave the number and said you have 2 missed calls.So maybe u can try 3-4 times from ur landline...It works for sure yaar...
 
yes i did that.. tried giving 3-4 calls.. i am trying from 2-3days.just today i got 1 miss call alert.. after that i alredy tried 2-3moretimesbut that i didnt get.so i suppose their system is not very perfect.
 
ya maybe thats why they made it free, thats what I was thinking how come Hutch gives something for free.....System unreliable so make it free otherwise people would start calling and bashing them if it was a paid service, very smart... :angry:BTW I get engage tone when I call from landline when my phone is switched off and thats what I dont like bec the caller may think my line is busy... 🙁
 
yes. exactly. i thought same too.actually in diwali they knew lot of ppl will make calls. and plus this time hutch to hutch is just 30p/m .. so more calls will be made. and they knew for sure that their system will not sustain the load.. so they declared it free. so atleast ppl cant complain. and infact ppl would bepleased.. "wow my network is so great, gives me free diwali gifts"
